Workshop March 28, 09.45 – 11.45 |
|
Abstract: By attending you will be provided with a realistic and pragmatic view of change, why change can be seen as disruptive to any organization in the disciplinary forces, why change should be introduced gradually vs. abruptly, how to identify and deal with resisters to the change, and how to introduce and promote change within your agency. As a retired FBI Chief, the workshop relies on Mr. Malinchak's twenty years of experience with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) coupled with a step process to build a team of individuals who will champion change within your agency. When changes are introduced in any disciplinary force, the change(s) influence both the structure and culture of the organization. Using the steps of persuasion, recruiting, employing, staffing and sequencing the change through officers, managers, leaders and executives, change(s) can be introduced in such a positive manner that the change is not recognized as a change at all. You will also come to better understand the importance of communication, both verbal and non-verbal communication, as it is applied to each of the change steps. The workshop will expose you to a variety of change concepts, which once employed, will provide each individual who attends with the knowledge to be a positive catalyst to effect change and improve both your chances for promotion and your agencies capabilities. Every Workshop participant will be provided with a power point handout as a reference. Moreover, if you want a personal consultation regarding a change that is or will be introduced in your agency, Mr. Alan A. Malinchak will be available throughout the conference period. Biography: |
