Abstract:
Asian economies continue to be pounded by one disaster after another. Many Asian organizations were often unprepared while their business continuity professionals continue to be challenged by new and more devastating threats such as epidemics, pandemics and terrorism.

The need to adopt a consistent and efficient approach to tackle these ever changing threats will be challenge for any organization. The presentation will summarized the best practices in business continuity management specifically targetting at these new and impending threats.

Biography:
Associate Professor Dr Goh Moh Heng is the Executive Director for DRI Asia, the Asian representative of DRI International in 1997, Dr Goh was responsible for bringing DRI International’s CBCP professional certification to Asia.

Currently, Dr Goh is also the Managing Director of GMH Continuity Architects, specializing on consulting services in the fields of BCM, DRP and crisis management, working mainly with organization operating in the Asia Pacific Region.

Prior to establishing DRI Asia and GMH Continuity Architects, Dr Goh held senior positions with a number of reputable organizations. During his career with Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, he was responsible for all aspects of its BC and contingency planning. At Standard Chartered Bank, he saw to the global implementation of its BCM programme; prior to this appointment, he managed the business continuity practice at PriceWaterhouse (now known as PriceWaterhouseCoopers).
