Abstract:
The ability to direct, control, coordinate and inter-communicate
provides emergency public information to the population at risk and the
population at large. This keynote will discuss the current trends and
the advanced technology in homeland security communications that will
help in instituting better emergency preparedness, efficient response
and faster recovery as well as a unified command and interoperable
communications. Biography:
Mr. Lange has nearly 40 years of experience in telecommunications and
systems integration. He has been employed by Motorola in Hong Kong since
2001 where he is Project Director for the Hong Kong Police CCIII (Third
Generation Command and Control System) project. His early career
included responsibility for development and manufacturing of
telecommunications equipment with Pye and Philips in the UK. Before
moving to the Asia Pacific region in 1990, he was responsible for the
development, manufacturing, system planning and implementation of mobile
radio systems for Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific. In 1991 he
project managed implementation of a 900 site nationwide radio
communication system for Indonesian Forestry. He later held general
management positions in a number of Asia Pacific countries in
telecommunications related businesses. He has extensive experience of
public safety systems in both the UK and Asia.
Mr. Lange has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, is a
Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the IEE. |
